Westminster Abby
The Westminster Abby was the physical location where the Puritan Divines met to work out the theological doctrines of the Presbyterian Church in England. The Divines met in the Jerusalem room.
Westminster Assembly
The Puritans assembled together to discuss the doctrines of the Reformation. Their were six Scottish Divines present to advise the English Puritans. Later, in 1647 the Church of Scotland adopted the confession as their own doctrinal statements.
Westminster Confession of Faith 1647
The Westminster Confession of Faith has thrity-three articles on doctrine. The Reformed Presbyterian Church General Assembly has adopted the Confession along with the Larger and Shoter Catechisms (Westminster Standerds) as the clearist written expression of the Reformed faith, life, and practice.
